
Bisons Add INF Andy Green as OF Nick Evans is Promoted to Mets

The New York Mets today announced that INF/OF Nick Evans has been recalled to New York from the Buffalo Bisons. INF Andy Green has rejoined the Bisons after being designated for assignment by the Mets on August 22.
Green has played in 36 games with the Bisons, hitting .270 (33-122) with six doubles, a triple, three home runs and 14RBI. He hit in his last nine games with Buffalo, August 9-16 (.444, 16-36) before having his contract selected by the Mets on August 16. Green went 1-4 with a walk in four appearances with New York.
Evans has hit .211 (50-237) with a team-high 10 home runs and 30RBI in 66 games with the Bisons. He has hit .289 (28-97) with seven doubles, two triples, five home runs and 16RBI in 26 games in August with Buffalo.
