
Bisons Activate INF Mike Lamb

Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo, Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today activated INF Mike Lamb to their roster. OF Frank Diaz was released by the Mets.
Lamb, 33, was signed to a minor league contract by the Mets on Saturday. He has hit .277 with 69 homeruns and 345RBI over nine major league seasons. A seventh-round draft pick by Texas in 1997, Lamb made his major league debut in 2000 with the Rangers and hit .278 in 138 games. Acquired by Houston in a trade with Yankees in 2004, he spent the next four years with the Astros, appearing in all four games of the 2005 World Series and hitting a career-high .307 in 2006.
Lamb, who has played every position except for shortstop, centerfield, and pitcher, was with Milwaukee this spring and hit .250 with two home runs and 12 RBI in 26 games. The Brewers released him April 1.
Diaz was 0-2 with a walk in three pinch hit opportunities with the Bisons.
