Biscuits Single-Game Tickets to go on Sale
March 8, 2004 - Southern League (SL1)
Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY â Single tickets to individual Montgomery Biscuits games, including the popular home opener, will go on sale Saturday, March 20.
Until now, tickets have only been available in groups of 20 or more or within season ticket packages. Although those options will remain available until opening day, the morning of March 20 will be the first time fans are able to purchase single tickets.
The Biscuit Basket at Eastdale Mall will put the tickets on sale at 9 a.m. that morning. Two hours later, they will go on sale online at www.biscuitsbaseball.com. Beginning Monday morning, fans can order by calling the Biscuits' box office during business hours (8:30 â 5:30, Mon. â Fri.) at 323-2255.
Three seating levels are available: Super Box Seats, located in rows 9-17 behind home plate, are $10 each; Box Seats, located from the end of each dugout down the lines, are $8 each; and tickets on the lawn in right field are $6 each.
A limited number of individual tickets remain for the home opener on Friday, April 16. Although Super Box Seats are sold out for the game, some Box Seats remain, and the Biscuits expect them to sell out the day that they go on sale.
"Based upon the demand that we've been hearing from the community, we anticipate the first-day run on tickets to be huge," said Biscuits General Manager of Operations Greg Rauch. "The demand is especially high for the home opener. We've been hearing concerns from people who think we are sold out for that game. We're not, but we will be in a hurry."
Tickets to other games are going fast as well, such as the Fourth of July game with fireworks. Some summertime weekend games have filled close to capacity with groups.
In anticipation of the ticket kickoff that morning, the Biscuits will be greeting their fans that come early with warm Biscuits and ice cold Coca-Cola and Dasani. Eastdale Mall opens to pedestrian traffic at 5 a.m., at which time fans can begin lining up outside the Biscuit Basket. The Biscuits' mascot Big Mo will make an appearance.
