ODESSA, TX. West Texans were busy last year doing more than preparing for Roughnecks games, they were making new Roughnecks fans! This Saturday August 4th the Odessa Roughnecks will host the Corpus Christi Hammerheads as well as West Texas' finest expectant moms. Women 8 months or more pregnant will be special guests of the Roughnecks and watch Dads -to- be compete for prizes. The first woman to give birth after kickoff will receive a year supply of free diapers, a first birthday party next year on the Roughnecks, and more! This event is hosted by ORH and KMID Channel 2 as the title sponsors of this event. The women will be attended to by nurses, munch on pickles and ice cream, and a waiting ambulance will be near to rush the first mom to the delivery room.
FRIDAY AUGUST 6TH: A special invitation to our 12:30pm press conference! The Roughnecks will hold an hour long, interactive, newsbreaking press conference at West Odessa Paintball in Odessa. All media are encouraged to attend this catered event to be the first to hear our announcement. Attire will be outdoor/sporty. Take 16th St. West to 1936, go right, go left on first street (Mockingbird Ln), through 1 (one) stop sign, West Odessa Paintball will be on your right before you reach the next stop sign. 599-9816 or 368-9898.
As always, Roughnecks tailgate party will have a live DJ, free jumping castles, and lots of Roughnecks fans grilling out!
Gametime is 7:30pm this Saturday, August 7th with our tailgate party starting at 5:30pm. Season tickets start as low as $112 for adults and just $64 for children and can be purchased by calling (432) 332-PASS (7277).
