TODAY'S NEWS

- This week, The Iron content team caught up with WR Quan Bray, DB Trovon Reed, DB Max Redfield, and QB Marcus McDade.

- Bray has a vision for the Birmingham Iron's offense in its opening season. As one of the Iron's leaders in the wide receiver group, he believes the Iron can be "explosive" out of the gate given all of the skill talent the team has assembled.

- When facing the Birmingham Iron's receivers in practice each day, Reed let's his secondary mates and the wide outs know that the stiffest competition they'll face all season is each other. That may come out as a slight to the other teams, but it's not. Reed is just confident in his guys.

- Redfield has seen the growth of the Iron's defense. As camp has continued, he has noticed each player in the unit has grasped the defense as a whole and not just their particular position. He believes that will pay off when the season comes, especially with the caliber of athlete the Iron is set to field on defense.

- McDade sees the potential in the Iron's offense. With each passing day, he is more impressed with the amount of talent the Iron has at the skill position. So much so that McDade believes these are the "most explosive players he's ever been around."

- The Iron waived DB Stephen Roberts - injured (Auburn) on 1/24/2019.
