Birmingham Barons Announce Front Office Changes for 2009 Season

HOOVER, AL - The Birmingham Barons announced four new additions and one promotion to their front office staff for the 2009 season. Caleb Adams (Assistant Groundskeeper), Shawn Pharo (Community Group Tickets Representative), Justin Rosenberg (Director of Media Relations) and Daniel Ruggierro (Head Groundskeeper) join the front office, while Jennifer Dillard (Office Manager) and Charlie Santiago (Director of Ticket Sales) will return in an expanded role.
Caleb Adams joins the Barons after spending the past two years in the same role with the Mobile BayBears. A Mobile native, Adams attended Faulkner State before coming to Birmingham.
Jennifer Dillard returns to the Barons in an expanded role. After spending the past three seasons as an assistant in the accounting department, Dillard moves into her new role as the Office Manager for the 2009 season.
Shawn Pharo begins his first season in professional baseball as a Group Tickets Representative. Pharo is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University and has resided in Birmingham since 1991.
Justin Rosenberg enters his first season with the Barons, serving as the Director of Media Relations. A Chicago native, Rosenberg attended Millikin University before spending 2008 as a Public Relations Assistant with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A, Colorado Rockies).
Daniel Ruggierro rejoins to the Barons after spending the past two seasons as the Head Groundskeeper with the Mobile BayBears. Ruggierro previously served as the Assistant Groundskeeper for the Barons from 2004-06. He is originally from Marietta, GA and attended Gadsden State.
Charlie Santiago returns to the Barons staff as the Director of Ticket Sales. Santiago spent 2007 as a concessions intern for the Barons before spending 2008 as a Group Ticket Representative. He is a 2007 graduate of Troy University.
The Barons will open the 2009 Southern League schedule on April 9th by hosting the Chattanooga Lookouts, Class AA affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
