Binghamton forward set to replace Fisher again in Friday's lineup

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators recalled, for the third time this season, right-winger Patrick Eaves from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis. Eaves, who will fly to Tampa, Fla., today, is set replace the injured Mike Fisher (sprained left shoulder) when the Senators face the Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m.
Eaves made his NHL debut when Ottawa downed the Canadiens 4-2 at the Bell Centre Tuesday, Oct. 11. He recorded his first NHL point, an assist, in his second game against the Boston Bruins at the Corel Centre Saturday, Oct. 15.
The 21-year-old Fairbault, Minn., native has only appeared in Binghamton's season-opening 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Phantoms on Oct. 8. Because of the second recall to Ottawa, he missed the 5-4 loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 15. Eaves will miss Binghamton's home game against the Hershey Bears on Friday.
Fisher has missed Ottawa's last two games after he was injured during the third game of the season, a 6-5 shootout win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday, Oct. 10.
Eaves was Ottawa's first-round pick, 29th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
