Reno Bighorns News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- A dominant Bakersfield fourth quarter and struggles at the free-throw line for Reno pushed the Jam to a 118-112 victory over the Bighorns Tuesday night in the Jam Events Center.

Reno (19-20) jumped out to a 12-point lead after the first quarter, but Bakersfield (12-28) would chip away at the advantage and ultimately outscore the Bighorns 34-22 in the final quarter of play to pick-up the victory.

The Bighorns shot just 43.3 percent from the free-throw line Tuesday, connecting on 13-of-30 attempts from the stripe. Rod Benson collected 14 rebounds on the night, but hit just 2-of-12 free-throw tries.

Desmon Farmer led five Bighorns in double figures with 28 points, including four three-pointers. Will Blalock finished with 17 points, and Yaroslav Korolev and D.J. Strawberry each chipped-in 16 for Reno. Three of Reno's five starters-Benson, Mo Charlo and Doug Thomas-combined for 18 points on the evening.
