
Bighorns Dropped by Vipers

Reno Bighorns News Release
Hidalgo, TX - The Reno Bighorns (8-11) fell to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (12-8), 106-85 Friday night in Texas.
The Bighorns were led by newly-acquired Samardo Samuels' 24 points. The former Cleveland Cavalier, in just his second game with Reno, shot 9-16 from the field and also pulled in four rebounds. Marcus Landry added 20 points.
The Vipers, led by Houston Rockets' assignee Terrence Jones' 27 points, attempted 21 more field goals than the Bighorns. Andrew Goudelock had 20 points for Rio Grande Valley.
For the second-straight night, the Bighorns were out-rebounded by the Vipers, 47-34. Reno only managed a season-low two offensive rebounds. The Bighorns led at the end of the first quarter, 32-28, but were out-scored 25-9 in the second quarter.
Reno hits the road again next Friday and Saturday for two games against the Bakersfield Jam. Fans can watch the games for free, online via Youtube.
