
Bighorns Defeat Jam at Home

Reno, NV., January 4, 2014 - The Reno Bighorns defeated the Bakersfield Jam 93-85 Tuesday night. The Bighorns are now 11-9.
The Bighorns started ahead early after they went on a 12-0 run (9:08-4:01). Mo Charlo had 6 points, Dequan Jones had 5 points as the Bighorns led going into the second quarter 22-10.
The Jam started to rally in the 2nd quarter going on a 14-4 run (11:19-6:43), which resulted in them coming within 2 points of the Bighorns. Von Wafer then had a steal that ensued in Billy Baptist's huge dunk for the Jam. However, going into halftime the Bighorns held onto the lead 45-34.
During the fourth quarter the Jam led twice and the score was tied twice. Mo Charlo had 8 points and Ray McCallum had 7 points, to edge out the Jam.
Mo Charlo ended the night with 22 points, 5 rebounds, Ray MCallum added 16 points, 5 assists. All five starters ended the night scoring in double figures for the Bighorns.
For the Jam, Ike Diogu had a game-high 21 points and 9 rebounds. Damian James had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Bighorns next home game is Friday, January 17th at 7pm. Tickets are still available. Contact 775-853-8220 or renobighorns.com.
