
Bighorns Defeat Bakersfield for Sixth Straight Win

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - With Ricky Ledo netting 40 points and the Bighorns coming back from a 21 point deficit, the Reno Bighorns defeated the Bakersfield Jam 126-130 Tuesday Night at the Dignity Health Center in Bakersfield, CA. Improving their record to 22-10, keeping them the number one ranked team in the Western Conference.
Ricky Ledo paced the Bighorns with his career high 40 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Vince Hunter logged a double-double with 21 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks. Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan, totaled 22 points and two rebounds Tuesday night while David Stockton notched 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Ledo led Bighorns in the first quarter with 10 points and two rebounds as Cliff Hammonds notched five points and three rebounds. Hunter had three points and four rebounds as Reggie Hearn had three points
Dukan tallied eight points in the second quarter while Ledo scored six points and two assists. Toppert also scored six points in the quarter. The Bighorns trailed the Jam by 21 midway through the quarter.
The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the Jam 63-53.
In the third quarter, Dukan led the Bighorns with 14 points and two rebounds. Ledo had 9 points, two rebounds and three assists in the quarter as Hunter scored seven points. Dukan was 5-6 from the field in the quarter while Ledo was 4-4 from the field in the quarter
The Bighorns rallied back in the fourth quarter outscoring the Jam 40-21 in the quarter. Ledo led the Bighorns in the quarter with 15 points as Hunter netted nine points and grabbed six rebounds for the Bighorns. Stockton added eight points and two steals for the Bighorns while Chad Toppert counted five points. The Bighorns shot 49 percent from the field in the fourth quarter compared to the Jam shooting 36 percent from the field in the quarter.
The Bighorns outshot the Jam 77-63 in the second half.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Friday, Feb. 19 to host the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7 P.M. for Pack The Place Pink Night for Breast Cancer Awareness.
