Ottawa RedBlacks News Release
OTTAWA - When the Ottawa REDBLACKS host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 30 for this year's Canada Day Celebration, fans will also be treated to a live performance by rock band Big Wreck.
The Canadian-American rockers will hit the stage ahead of the opening kick off, as well as at halftime of the game.
"We're excited to have Big Wreck rock TD Place and add to the celebration of our Canada Day party and the REDBLACKS 10th anniversary as a whole," said REDBLACKS President Adrian Sciarra. "This is going to be an exciting season from start to finish and bringing Big Wreck, a band that brings the party to every one of their live performances, will help set the tone for this special season."
Big Wreck has become an iconic North American rock band that calls Canada home. With a consecutive streak of hits singles and albums, including That Song, Ladylike and Albratoss, Big Wreck's newest release Pages is considered their best yet with the new single "Summerlong" releasing April 22 to Rock Radio.
The special music performance is one of several pieces of the REDBLACKS 10th Anniversary celebrations during the 2024 season.
