
Big Event Coming to Klamath Falls

The West Coast League's spotlight will be on Klamath Falls Monday, July 21, as the Gems will be hosting the League's 2014 All-Star Game at Klamath Falls' Kiger Stadium. "It's an incredible honor and something that the entire region should be proud of. The best players from all twelve West Coast League teams will be involved and Major League Baseball Scouts from each of the 30 MLB teams are expected to attend. This is an opportunity to expose the great baseball history and tradition here in Klamath to all of baseball," concluded Walker.
"This is a showcase event that Klamath can embrace and benefit from. It is an opportunity to fill up hotel rooms, convenience stores, restaurants, and help all local businesses flourish," said Chip Massie, Executive Director for the Klamath Chamber of Commerce.
Festivities will include a Welcome Party (Sunday, July 20th), All-Star Game Luncheon featuring keynote speaker Bobby Evans, Assistant General Manager of the San Francisco Giants (Monday, July 21st), and an After Party (Monday, July 21st) that fans are invited to attend. In addition, a Home Run Derby will be held prior to the All Star Game.
