Minnesota Lynx News Release
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx announced today that as part of Best Buy's presenting sponsorship of the Lynx season-opening game against the Detroit Shock on Sunday, May 18, Best Buy has donated 2,000 lower-level tickets to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
Through this donation, children at the eight Boys & Girls Club locations in the Twin Cities will have the opportunity to experience Lynx Basketball by attending the game with their families.
"The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities are very appreciative of the generous donation of tickets to our youth by Best Buy," said Marlene Wright, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. "Many of our youth and their families never get the opportunity to attend a professional basketball game, so this will be a special event for them."
The Minnesota Lynx will open their 10th Anniversary Season on May 18, 2008, against the Detroit Shock, presented by Best Buy. Season and group tickets are on sale now for this historic season. Be a part of the celebration by calling 612-673-8400, e-mailing tickets@lynxbasketball.com or visiting www.lynxbasketball.com.
