KANSAS CITY - Robert Palmer has been named the final Major Arena Soccer League Player of the Week for the 2019/2020 season. The league announced the accolade during the latest MASL Primetime.

The league announced Thursday the cancellation of the regular season, giving Palmer the last such award. He also finishes the season with a league-leading 49 blocked shots. He won the award for his clutch performance in the unexpected season finale victory over Utica. He scored four goals, including three in the final four minutes of regulation to force overtime.

Palmer was joined on the MASL Team of the Week by midfielder Kiel Williams. The defender is the third Comet to win the award this season, following in the footsteps of Leo Gibson and Kevin Ellis. Gibson finishes the season as the league leader in assists with 31 and second to Ontario's Franck Tayou in points with 60.
