March 20, 2014 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa-Bernie the St. Bernard and Maxx Mustang are inviting their mascot friends to the Mystique Community Ice Center this Sunday for an afternoon of fun that you'll want to bring the family for. The Dubuque Fighting Saints host Mascot Mania presented by Victory Ford as they take on Fargo at 3:05 p.m. The event is perfect for families, and fans can enjoy a Telegraph Herald Family 4 Pack Special, and a Post-Game Skate with the Saints.

Bernie, the Fighting Saints mascot, and Maxx Mustang, Victory Ford's mascot, have extended the invitation to dozens of Tri-State area mascots to party at the Mystique Community Ice Center on Sunday. The mascots will help entertain the crowd with their dance moves, hangout in the Kids Zone, participate in contests, and will take the ice to show their skills in the popular and always entertaining mascot hockey game.

Mascots appearing at Sunday's game include: Earny the Eagle from American Trust, Ben Groovin' from Queen B Radio, Sippi from the National Mississippi River Museum, Sporty from Sport Clips, Perky Turkey from the Dubuque 911 Center, Pioneer Pete from UW-Platteville, Captain Shield from US Bank, Little Caesar from Little Caesar's Pizza, Verlo Mattress Man, Andy the Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse, Cuttie from Clark University, Scoopie from Culver's and Liberty Tax Service.

The mascots will take the ice in the game's first intermission on Sunday for the mascot hockey game. Bernie and Maxx Mustang will serve as the game's captains and will arrive to the ice in style. The two will be transported onto the ice in Ford trucks, and then it's game on. Teams will dvidied into "Team Bernie" and "Team Maxx" for the game. Captain Shield is the reigning MVP of the Mascot Mania hockey game after a two-goal performance last year, and Little Caesar was a force to be reckoned with as he racked up the most penalty minutes. Bernie and Maxx Mustang has been training for this year's game all season long and are ready to go head-to-head to establish their dominance.

After the game, fans can take the ice to Skate with the Saints. The entire team will be on the ice following the contest, and fans can get autographs from their favorite players. There is no cost to Skate with the Saints, and the Mystique Community Ice Center is offering skate rental for those in need for $2.50.

With mascots invading the arena, Sunday's game is perfect for families. Sunday also marks the Fighting Saints final TH Family Four Pack game of the season. Starting at just $48 when purchased in advance, fans can purchase a package that includes four tickets, four drink vouchers, four slices of Domino's Pizza, and two Kids Zone vouchers, courtesy of the Telegraph Herald.

Tickets are available to Mascot Mania presented by Victory Ford by calling 563.583.6880 or online at DubuqueFightingSaints.com. TH Family Four Packs can be purchased online by using promo code "family". Including this weekend's games, Dubuque has only four home games remaining in the regular season heading into this weekend and currently sits in third place in the USHL's Eastern Conference.
