
Berlin Extends Streak with 3-2 Win over Bulldogs

Berlin, NH - The Berlin River Drivers (12-4-4-16) rallied to defeat the Brewster Bulldogs (8-3-6-22) 3-2 at Notre Dame Arena on Saturday Night.
Brewster opened up the scoring early with a goal by Jan Salak just 41 seconds into the opening frame. Berlin would answer over a minute later with a goal by Jiri Pestuka assisted by Brantley Sherwood and Tom Tracy at 1:48 into the first period.
The River Drivers would score the lone goal in the second period with a power-play goal by Stephen Gallo assisted by Pavel Kubena and Brantley Sherwood.
The third period would see a pair of fisticuffs as Nick Wright and Zach Hale would drop the mitts before Brantley Sherwood and Mike Rabideau would also go toe-to-toe in the period.
Tom Tracy would increase Berlin's lead in the third with an empty net goal late in the frame before the Bulldogs Nicolai Oklolbistyn split the lead in half with only three seconds to spare.
Paul Bourbeau Jr earned the win for the River Drivers with a 25 save effort on 27 shots against; while Brewster's Jeromy Semtner took the loss with 38 stops on 40 shots against.
The Berlin River Drivers will take on the Bulldogs tomorrow at 5:05 p.m. at Notre Dame Arena.
