ICEHAWKS SERVE FANS AT SOLD OUT EVENT AT MEETING PLACE Glens Falls, NY â A benefit dinner in which the Adirondack IceHawks players served as celebrity waiters at The Meeting Place Restaurant on Tuesday night raised $1,200 for the Colossal Colon Project. The Meeting Place Restaurant also donated an additional $1,261 to the Catholic Charities' Domestic Violence Project of Warren and Washington Counties. IceHawks players waited on fans whom registered for the dinner and filled the restaurant to its capacity.
The Colossal Colon is a 40-foot model currently on display at Aviation Mall in Queensbury. The educational tool is the inspiration of local colon cancer survivor and 95.9 FM Cool Rock radio personality Molly McMaster.
The benefit dinner was organized as part of National Colon Cancer Awareness Month. All tips were donated to Colossal Colon Project.
