Ben Ramin Named to MASL Team of the Week

The Baldwinsville native's hat trick led Syracuse to a victory this past weekend
Ben Ramin has earned MASL Team of the Week honors for his performance last Friday against the Harrisburg Heat. The Baldwinsville native becomes the fourth Silver Knight named to the MASL Team of the Week.
"This recognition is a true testament to Ben's hard work and dedication this season," said Silver Knights Head Coach Ryan Hall. "Ben has shown improvement in each game and on every shift. You can see his confidence growing allowing him to read the game faster and giving him opportunities to make big plays."
Ramin recorded his first career hat trick in the Silver Knights' 8-6 win over Harrisburg last Friday. All of Ramin's goals came in the second half. After not scoring any goals in his first year in the MASL last season, Ramin now has four goals in this campaign.
All of Ramin's goals have come against Harrisburg. He is now tied with Nate Bourdeau as the fourth highest goal scorer on the Silver Knights. Only Joey Tavernese (11), Slavisa Ubiparipovic (8), and Kenardo Forbes (8) have more goals this season for Syracuse.
Ramin joins Tavernese, Ubiparipovic, and Forbes as Silver Knights players who have earned MASL Team of the Week honors. All Syracuse players recorded three goals in the week they were named to the MASL Team of the Week.
Ramin and the Silver Knights return to action on Saturday, January 6th, as Syracuse starts the new year with a match against the Florida Tropics. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:35 p.m. The Silver Knights are back at home on Friday, January 12th, when the Baltimore Blast visit the Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
