Losing Pitcher - Jeremy Griffiths (2-3) Player of the Game: Rigo Beltran was spectacular, retiring the first 12 batters he faced, and pitching 3-hit shutout ball over 7.0 innings, while striking out 8. Home Runs:
OTT - Brian Rios, a three run shot, his first of the year.
NOR - none Key Plays: Rios' homer in the 2nd gave the Lynx a 4 run lead, and provided the cushion for Beltran. Recap: The Lynx started out fast, mounting a two-out rally in the first. Luis Matos singled, and stole second, and scored on the first of four Carlos Mendez base hits. The Lynx added three more in the bottom of the second. Pedro Swann's one-out bouncer to short was mishandled by Jorge Velandia, and Chris Lemonis worked a walk. Brian Rios followed with his first homer of the season, a deep drive to left, putting the Lynx up by four. The Cats added two-out run in the fifth, as Mendez doubled and came to count on Jack Cust's bloop single to left. The Lynx tacked on their final two in the eighth. After a Chris Lemonis single, Brian Roberts doubled to the wall in right scored him, and Roberts scored on Luis Matos' single to left. Mike Mohler came in relief of Beltran and gave up 1 hit in two scoreless innings to seal the game. Rigo Beltran (7.0ip, 3h, 0r, 2bb, 8k) gets the win.
