
Bello Shines As Wings Drop Opener

Harlingen, Texas was the sight of opening night here at Historic Harlingen Field, it was a pitcher's duel where two south paws took the mound. Antony Bello was your starter for the Wings as Adam Rowe took the mound for the Colts.
Bello who pitched a dandy going 6 1/3 only allowing five hits and one run, till midway through the sixth inning when skipper Chris Patterson went to the bullpen bringing in Jordan Goldschmidt in relief. The Colts took advantage as leadoff man Steve Rinaudo broke the tie as the Colts took a 3-1 lead in the seventh.
Adam Crowe however had a great outing on the hill for the Colts going seven strong innings only allowing five hits, and one run. Crowe gets his first win of the year as Bello gets the loss as the save goes to Caballero.
Danny Pembroke went 3-for-4 on the night collecting 3 singles for the Wings, as the offense rallied in the ninth loading the bases as Jordan Either flew out to right to end the game, Paterson after the game stated "Our guys are young for some of them this was their first pro game"
The WhiteWings drop their season opener but look to bounce back tomorrow as 6'7 Ray Hanson takes the mound for the Wings, San Angelo will throw Alex Bates as game two of this four game series will get under way here at 7:05.
