In 140 Characters or Less: In a seesaw contest, the Bees dropped a close 5-4 series opener to the Long Island Ducks at Bethpage Ballpark.

The Game Changed When...: The game changed in the bottom half of the eighth inning when, with the game tied at four and a runner on first and two outs, Bees' pitcher Eric Fornataro was called for a balk that allowed the runner to move up to second base. The balk proved costly as Mike Dowd singled home the eventual game-winning run.
