Bees Bounce Back with Game Three Win

(Appleton-WI)- The Burlington Bees' avenged Saturday's loss, with a 5-3 win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in game three of a four game series on Sunday afternoon in Appleton.

The Bees took the lead first on an Angel Rosa double, scoring Erick Salcedo in the top of the third inning, putting the Bees on top 1-0. Mike Fish made it a 2-0 game with a groundout that scored Kody Eaves, capping off the two run frame.

Michael Ratterree put the Timber Rattlers on the board in the bottom of the third with a double scoring Chris McFarland, cutting the Bees lead to 2-1. Wisconsin tied the game later in the inning when Omar Garcia came home to score on a double play.

Eric Aguilera led off the fifth inning with a solo homer to right to give the Bees lead back at 3-2. The next batter, Brandon Bayardi, crushed a home run to deep left center, upping the Bees' lead to 4-2.

Wisconsin pulled to within a run in the eighth inning thanks to a Michael Ratterree homer to left, cutting the Bees' advantage to 4-3.

The Bees produced an insurance run in the ninth when Brandon Bayardi doubled to left scoring Mike Fish, extending the Bees' lead to 5-3 as the Bees went on to take game three of the series.

Harrison Cooney (6-3) picked up the win for the Bees, Preston Gainey (2-5) was charged with the loss. Bees' reliever, Ben Carlson (6), earned the save, securing the Bees' win.

The Bees wrap up a four game series against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Monday afternoon at 12:05 PM. Daniel Hurtado takes the mound for the Burlington Bees (43-36) against Victor Diaz for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (42-37).
