Omaha Beef News Release

Omaha, NE - Together with Head Coach Steve Warren's D.R.E.A.M. foundation, Northwest CarStar and American Family Insurance, the Omaha Beef professional indoor football team will help make a difference in an Omaha family's life. The event will take place this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Northwest CarStar, 3304 N. 120th Street, in Omaha.

D.R.E.A.M., Northwest CarStar, American Family Insurance and many other area vendors have teamed up to donate a 1998 Honda Passport and other services to the Shockley family. Wes and Connie Shockley have three kids and themselves give back to the community through Connie's work at PTI Nebraska.

Warren is elated to be a part of the special ceremony. "We are very excited to have found such a deserving family," he said. "We are thrilled to be partnered with great organizations such as Northwest CarStar, American Family Insurance and the other vendors and sponsors."

The Recycled Rides program is a community awareness project designed by the National Auto Body Council (NABC). American Family Insurance donated the car, Northwest CarStar, a member of the NABC, refurbished it and D.R.E.A.M. was responsible for finding the family. In addition, the Beef will be giving away a set of five season tickets to the family.

Beef Team President Dakota Crow said the Beef are pleased to be a part of the event. "The D.R.E.A.M. foundation is an amazing organization and Steve deserves a great deal of credit for making a difference in the Omaha community. We're honored to be a part of the Recycled Rides program and the CarStar event. We're proud to help contribute to another wonderful Omaha family.

Warren created the D.R.E.A.M. foundation in 2007. This 501(c)3 is an nonprofit organization, whose mission is to expand opportunities for at-risk youth by providing positive role models. For more information, visit www.dreamomaha.org.
