Omaha, Nebraska â Omaha Beef Football Head Coach Sandy Buda announces today the signing of two members of the 2003 NIFL Western Conference, Northern Division Championship Team and one new addition. Signing for the third year is Mike Leach, a 6' â 208 strong safety. Leach played his college ball at Northeastern State University.
Terrell Spears returns for a second campaign with the Beef. The 6'1" â 240 linebacker played his college ball at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
The third player is Fletcher Smith, a speedy receiver from Miami Florida who played at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2000 and Ellsworth Junior College in 1999. Smith is 6'1" â 170 lbs and runs a 4.4 forty.
These signings bring the total to twenty-one players on the current Beef roster for the exhibition game schedule for February 28th verses the Show Me Believers of St. Charles, Missouri. Individual game tickets are on sale now at all TicketMaster locations. All seats in the house are $10 for the pre-season game.
