
Beef Lose on the Road to Bismarck

The Beef fall to 1-3 as a they lose a heartbreaker on the road to the Bismarck Bucks 33-32. The Beef only allowed 164 total yards and kept the ball in their possession for 41:35, but it wasn't enough as they have dropped their last three games.
The Beef got the ball first and drove down the field ending in a touchdown from Anthony Iannotti to Jeremiah Eaton. It was a back and forth game in the the first half with each team answering each other. Bucks Tyler Johnson tossed two touchdowns to CIF reception leader Jayhem Bryd. Omaha responded with a touchdown to Daniel McKinney and added two field goals from Tucker Milliken to take the lead into halftime with a 20-13 lead.
Bismarck struck first in the 2nd half with two touchdowns and took the lead in 27-20 with 6:27 left in the 3rd quarter. Jeff Mack was the work horse for the Beef in the second half with his game total of 16 carries added a score on the ground for the Beef right before the 4th quarter to bring the beef within 1 after a missed extra point.
There was a drought for the majority of the 4th quarter until Milliken was able to to give the Beef the lead after a field goal with 2:19 left and he added another one with 24 seconds. The Beef had a five point lead and the Bucks had the ball on the 23-yard line. Johnson found Bryd again for 23 yards to take a one point lead. Bismarck wasn't able to convert on the 2-point conversion, so the beef still had an opportunity to win the game on a field goal. The Bucks squibbed a kick that was recovered at the Bucks 22-yard line. Omaha put themselves into position to win the game with a 19-yard field goal that Milliken missed to the right.
The Beef will travel to Salina to face the (1-1) Liberty Saturday, April 14th at 7:05.
