Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha Beef Football today announces the signings of Donovan LaViness, John Wenner and returnee Cale Good. LaViness, a 6' â 242 lb linebacker played college ball at Tulsa University before transferring to South Eastern Missouri University. In 2003 he had 90 tackles, four forced and three recovered fumbles to garner divisional honors for the Show Me Believers of the National Indoor Football League.
From Middlebury College in Vermont, Wenner â a 6' 2" â 200 lb quarterback â threw for 1500 yards and twelve touchdowns in his senior year.
Four-year Omaha Beef veteran Good has re-signed as a linebacker for the 2004 season. The 6' 2" â 240 lb athlete played college football for the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
These signings bring the total to sixteen players on the current Beef roster for the exhibition game schedule for February 28th verses the Show Me Believers of St. Charles, Missouri. Individual game tickets are on sale now at all TicketMaster locations. All seats in the house are $10 for the pre-season game.
