CIF Omaha Beef

Beef Host the Phantoms

April 19, 2018 - Champions Indoor Football (CIF)
Omaha Beef News Release

The Omaha Beef (1-4) return home for a two game home stand starting with the Kansas City Phantoms (1-4) Friday April 20, at 7:05. The Beef lost to the Phantoms in their first matchup 62-61, where two costly rogue points and a missed field goal cost the Beef the game.

Last week, Cameron Hall made his debut at running back rushing for 37-yards and catching a pass for 37-yards. He is a different kind of running back with his 240-pound frame always falling forward after contact. He will be looking to continue producing Friday against the worst rushing defense in the CIF, who give up 122.2-yards per game. Omaha, who is the second best team in rushing per game (91-yards) and time of possession (35:35), will look to Hall to help establish a run game and control the clock.

A defense that has been great against the run, gave up 113-yards rushing and three touchdowns last week against Salina. Before that game, Omaha had only given up a total of 61-yards on the season. Last game against Kansas City, the Beef commanded the line of scrimmage not allowing any positive rushing yards. Omaha will be looking to the defense as a whole to mesh well against an offense who ranks first in passing. This is the game the secondary has to step after allowing 258-yards and eight touchdowns from the arm of Donovan Portiere.
