THE Omaha Beef will play the Kansas City Phantoms on Friday at 7 p.m. The game will be played at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri.
Omaha is coming off a thrilling 42-37 victory against the Salina Liberty. Quarterback John Gibbs connected with wide receiver Jamall Williams for the game-winning 47-yard touchdown with 10 seconds remaining.
Kansas City is coming off a 67-30 loss against the Bismark Bucks. Quarterback Trey Cooper had 119 of the Phantoms 177 total yards.
Omaha was 1-0 against Kansas City last season. The Beef won 37-29 in the lone matchup.
Omaha was 4-4 on the road last season. The Beef would move to 2-0 on the season with a win.
