
Beavers' All-Star Celebration Tops List of Activities During Homestand

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers return to action following the all-star break with a four-game homestand against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at PGE Park. Headlining the homestand is the Beavers' All-Star Celebration Night on Saturday featuring a special baseball giveaway and fireworks display as the team prepares for the upcoming 2009 Cricket Wireless Triple-A All-Star Game in Portland.
With less than a year remaining until the 2009 Cricket Wireless Triple-A All-Star Game in Portland, the Beavers invite fans to join the club for All-Star Celebration Night on Saturday as they take on the Sky Sox. The first 1,903 fans receive a limited edition all-star logo baseball presented by Cricket Wireless, but all will be treated to a special fireworks presentation following the game. Saturday's contest will be broadcast live on FSN.
There is no better gift than a beautiful day at the ballpark and the Beavers are spreading good cheer with Christmas in July presented by Fisher Farm & Lawn on Sunday at PGE Park. Fans that bring a new toy to PGE Park on Sunday can save up to $2 off the purchase of a ticket at the box office. As part of the Year of the Uniform series, the first 1,903 kids 12 and under receive a Beavers youth baseball cap presented by American Family Insurance.
Enjoy a summer afternoon at PGE Park as the Beavers conclude their four-game homestand on Monday with a special day game; first pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. Portland Mayor Sam Adams will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
