HERSHEY scored early and often to start the post-holiday schedule with a 5-0 victory over the Norfolk Admirals at GIANT Center.

Eric Perrin scored just 37 seconds into the game to give the BEARS a 1-0 lead. It turned out to be the fourth game-winning goal for Perrin this season as Mathieu Darche and Andre Savage assisted on the game's first tally. Greg Barber then scored his first AHL goal with a blast into the top left corner of the net past Norfolk's Michael Leighton. Carl Corazzini then rounded out the first period scoring with his fifth goal of the season as HERSHEY took a 3-0 lead to the dressing room.

Corazzini scored his second goal of the game with a tally at the 14:25 mark of the second period. The BEARS rounded out the scoring with a goal from Jamie Rivers at 16:31 of the middle period to give the BEARS the win 5-0. Peter Budaj made 50 saves to earn the first shutout by a HERSHEY netminder at home this season. The 50 saves is an AHL season high.

The BEARS continue the current seven game homestand Wednesday against the Binghamton Senators. Face-off is at 7:30 p.m.
