
Bears Release Goaltender Adam Carlson from Amateur Tryout

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today that goaltender Adam Carlson has been released from his amateur tryout agreement and will report to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays. The announcement was made by Bears President/General Manager Doug Yingst.
The 22-year-old Carlson joined the Bears after appearing in 17 games with the AHA's Mercyhurst College. He posted a 7-7-3 record, a 2.85 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. Carlson's save percentage with the Lakers ranked tied for fifth in the Atlantic Hockey Association, his 536 saves ranked tenth, and his win total and save percentage each ranked 11th.
Carlson, a native of Edina, Minnesota, spent two seasons with the NAHL's Coulee Region Chill prior to enrolling at Mercyhurst, notching a 38-27-10 record with seven shutouts, a 2.52 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage in 81 total games.
Carlson, who did not appear in any games with Hershey, was signed by the Washington Capitals to a two-year entry-level contract on March 28.
