Bears Host Second Naturalization Ceremony

(Newark, N.J., Sept. 11, 2010) - The Newark Bears and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service are proud to be hosting another Naturalization Ceremony at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium on Sunday, September 12. Following the ceremony, the new citizens and their families are invited to enjoy America's Favorite Pastime, the game of baseball.

The Bears and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service welcomed 50 new American citizens to a game on August 17th. It was a tremendous success and the citizens and their families enjoyed a fantastic day at the ballpark.

See your family and friends on field as they take part in the naturalization ceremony, which will begin at 1:05 p.m., and stay to cheer on the Bears as they face the Camden Riversharks in the home season finale. The ceremony includes the administering of the Oath of Allegiance, the petitioners for citizenship reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. flag and recognition of the nations that the new citizens emigrated from will be read aloud. One complimentary ticket will be provided for the citizenship applicants with discounted tickets available for family and friends.
