Bears Fall to Dust Devils 6-3

(Yakima, WA) - Ricardo Tavares pitched three shutout innings of relief, but the Tri-City Dust Devils beat the Yakima Bears 6-3 Monday night before 2,566 in the final home game of the season at Yakima County Stadium.

The Bears fell behind 4-0 after two innings, as Tri-City opened by scoring two in the first on an RBI double by Jordan Pacheco and a run-scoring groundout by Patrick Rose. Erik Wetzel added a two-run double in the second.

Yakima came back with three in the fourth on a two-out RBI infield single by Jhoan Pimentel followed by a two-run single to right by Greg Bordes.

The Dust Devils added an RBI single by Austin Rauch in the fifth and an RBI double to right by Derek Kinzler in the sixth.

Tavares did not allow a hit through three innings of relief, striking out four.

The Bears wrap up the season Wednesday night in Tri-City, with Ryan Cook on the mound for Yakima at 7:15 p.m.
