
Bears announce home opener for October 15

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the AHL's most senior franchise will open the home portion of its 68th season on Saturday, October 15 at GIANT Center. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Along with the October 15 home opener, the BEARS announced four other dates the club will play home games during the 2005-06 season. HERSHEY will host a New Year's Eve game for the second consecutive season on Saturday, December 31 along with games on Saturday, November 19 and Saturday, November 26. The BEARS will also host its traditional day before Thanksgiving game on Wednesday, November 23. Opponents and times for the five dates announced today will be released along with the rest of the 2005-06 season schedule in early August. A list of HERSHEY'S opponents will be released to the public in mid-July.
Season tickets for the 2005-06 season are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR. Several different plans are available for purchase.
