Bears Announce Guaranteed Home Dates for 2012-2013 Season

HERSHEY, Pa. - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today a list of six guaranteed home dates for the 2012-2013 season, the club's milestone 75th season of play in the American Hockey League. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The BEARS are pleased to guarantee three of the six dates near holidays. The team will play at home on Wednesday, November 21, the day before the Thanksgiving holiday. The club will also play twice at home during the week between Christmas Day and New Year's Day (Wednesday, December 26 and Saturday, December 29).
The other three guaranteed home dates are Saturday, October 20; Friday, January 18; and Sunday, January 20.
January 20 marks the 2013 Capital BlueCross AHL Outdoor Classic, with faceoff between the BEARS and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins slated for 5:00 PM at HERSHEYPARK Stadium. One day prior, on January 19, the HERSHEY BEARS Alumni will take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Alumni in a special 3:00 PM contest also at HERSHEYPARK Stadium.
The remainder of the BEARS schedule with dates, times and opponents will be announced following the official release from the American Hockey League, expected later in the summer.
