
Bears Announce 2014 Training Camp Roster

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today the roster of players expected to participate in the club's 2014 training camp. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst. All players who cleared their physicals on Sunday or previously at NHL camp are eligible for the Hershey Bears training camp. A total of 22 players will begin camp today, while several still remain with the Washington Capitals.
The roster consists of the following players and is current as of Monday morning, September 29:
GOALTENDERS (3): Brandon Anderson, Pheonix Copley, Matt Tendler
DEFENSEMEN (7): Erik Burdgoerfer, Michal Cajkovsky, Wade Epp, Garrett Haar, Jon Landry, Mike Moore, Marcus Perrier
FORWARDS (12): Joel Broda, Philippe Cornet, Joe Diamond, Jack Downing, Stanislav Galiev, Dustin Gazley, Caleb Herbert, Brock Higgs, Tim Kennedy, Braden Pimm, Tim Spencer, Chandler Stephenson
ON WAIVERS: Tomas Kundratek, Cameron Schilling

Following two days of practice, the Bears will travel to Allentown, PA to face the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:05 PM in the club's first of four pre-season contests. The Phantoms will visit GIANT Center on Friday, October 3 at 7:00 PM. The Bears will then play the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a home-and-home set beginning Saturday, October 4. Faceoff from Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza is set for 7:05 PM. The two teams will then conclude pre-season in Chocolatetown on Sunday, October 5 at 5:00 PM.
The 2014 training camp will be directed by new Bears head coach Troy Mann, new assistant coaches Bryan Helmer and Ryan Murphy and associate goaltending coach Scott Murray. Camp includes on-ice practice sessions, off-ice workouts, group meetings and the four-game pre-season slate. The entire camp is scheduled to be held at GIANT Center. All on-ice sessions from September 29 through October 5 are free and open to the public.
