Bears Announce 2012-2013 Schedule of Promotions

HERSHEY, Pa. - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the schedule of promotional nights for the 2012-2013 season, as well as the on-sale date for 2012-2013 individual tickets. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

The BEARS are once again proud to include several giveaways to the club's loyal fans through the generosity of its sponsors. In 2012-2013, fans will receive a complimentary promotional item on 24 of the BEARS' 38 home game nights. Additionally, the popular jersey auctions return this season to benefit charity, and the BEARS will wear special-themed jerseys on five nights throughout the campaign. Such jerseys will be auctioned off live following that night's game.

The BEARS will also have five Dollar Dog Nights courtesy of Dietz and Watson, where fans may purchase hot dogs for $1 at various concession stands throughout GIANT Center.

The season's giveaways begin on the BEARS' home opening night - Saturday, October 20 - as the first 8,000 fans will receive a team schedule magnet courtesy of PNC Bank. The final promotional night is slated for the regular-season finale. Sunday, April 21 is Fan Appreciation Night, and is also the third of three HERSHEYPARK Pass Nights in 2012-2013. All fans in attendance will receive a complimentary pass to HERSHEYPARK valid through July 4, 2013 as well as a chance to win a special prize.

Also announced today, individual tickets for the HERSHEY BEARS' 75th season of play in the American Hockey League will go on sale beginning Tuesday, September 25 at 10:00 am. Tickets may be purchased at the GIANT Center box office, by calling (717) 508-BEAR, or online at TicketMaster.com.

A special pre-sale for current HERSHEY BEARS season ticket holders will begin on Wednesday, September 19 at 10:00 am for those who wish to purchase additional seats for the 2012-2013 season. Further information regarding the pre-sale will be announced in the near future.

Individual tickets for the BEARS' two home pre-season games are currently on sale through the above outlets. The BEARS will host the Binghamton Senators on Friday, October 5 at 7:00 PM and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, October 7 at 5:00 PM.
