· 12/15: Beacons Shutout the Ducks!
The Beacons met the Ducks for the third game in five days. It was another tight game as Kory Cooper lead the way in net as he made 31 saves for the Beacons third shutout in four games. Scoring for the Beacons were, Trevor Edwards (4), Gabriel Proulx (4) and Joey Sewell (10). Andrew Shier (8), David Beauregard (10) and Andrew McPherson (14) netted the assists on the evening's game.
· 12/17: Back-to-Back Shutouts, for the Second Week in a Row
For the second week in a row the Beacons had back-to-back shutouts, however, this time Kory Cooper led the way. Cooper stopped 40 shots on his way to 120 minutes of shutout hockey. Joey Sewell (11) scored a power-play goal at 19:11 of the first to give the Beacons the 1-0 lead after one period. Aaron Brand (8,9) then scored one of his two goals in the second period at 14:51 to end the second with a 3-0 lead. It would stay that way as both goaltenders shut the door in the third period. Chris Slater (7), Cooper (2), Gabriel Proulx (6), Trevor Edwards (11) and Ivan Curic (3) netted the assists.
· 12/18: Muskegon Wins Second Against Beacons
Joey Sewell (12) scored his third goal in as many days to start the evening's game and then David Beauregard (19) scored to end the first with a 2-0 lead. However that would be all the scoring the Beacons would get as Muskegon scored four straight goals (two in the second, two in the third) to take the game 4-2. Andrew McPherson (15), Shayne Tomlinson (3) and Jason Firth (3) netted the assists on the night.
· 12/19: Beacons Dog Richmond!
The Beacons proved this weekend that they could play the game both ways, high scoring and tight defensive hockey. Tonight it was the high scoring version that stepped onto the ice. Malcolm MacMillan (5) scored just 1:39 into the game off of feeds from Aaron Brand (18,19,20), his first of three on the night and Chad Dameworth (7,8), his first of two. Andrew McPherson (3) would score on the power play at 16:54 in the first to give the Beacons the 2-1 edge heading into the first intermission, Shayne Tomlinson (4) netted the assist along with Brand. In the second period the Beacons outscored the Dogs 2-1 once again. Joey Sewell (13) and McPherson (4) scored while Jason Firth (4), Brand, Sewell (8) and Tataryn (6) notched the assists. In the third Sewell (14) lit the lamp once again along with McPherson (5) to complete his hat-trick. Firth (5), Beauregard (11), Dameworth and Sewell (9) notched the assists.
Upcoming Games: Week Eleven
· 12/22: Beacons Travel down I-94 to See the Mechanic
The Beacons travel to face the Mechanics for the fourth time this year. The Beacons lead the season series 2-1-0. FACE-OFF: 7:30 p.m.
· 12/26: Fourth Sunday Game in a Row
The day after Christmas sees the Fury of Muskegon visiting McMorran Arena for the first time this season. The Fury lead the season series 2-0-0. FACE-OFF: 5:05 p.m.
Brand-O-Meter
Aaron Brand is tied for 4th on the Beacons all-time point list this weekend with 2g and 3a. Brand now has 39 goals, 46 assists for 85 points in 92 games played. Brand ties former Beacon, John Vary with 85 points. Next on the list is Michel Beausoleil with 137 points, Brand is 52 points behind.

Player of the Week
The Beacons nominate Joey Sewell as the Sher Wood Player of the week. Sewell finished the week with 7 points in four games played. Sewell was +6 for the week and tallied 5 goals and 2 assists on 16 shots for the weekend's action including 1 PPG. Sewell finished the weekend tallying 2g and 2a on Sunday's game vs. the Richmond RiverDogs.
Goaltender of the Week
The Beacons nominate Kory Cooper as the Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Week. Cooper finished the week 2-0-0 in 120 minutes played with 71 saves on 71 shots for a 100.0 SV% and a 0.00 GAA. Cooper has 120 minutes of shutout hockey dated from 12/15 vs. Quad City to 12/17 vs. Rockford. Cooper also had 1 Power play assist on 12/17 vs. Rockford.

Join Beacons play-by-play announcer, Dennis Stuckey along with Head Coach, Rick Adduono for in depth analysis of the weekends action and questions from fans of all ages. Select Beacon players will also be appearing throughout the season. Of course if you cannot make it down to the Brass Rail you can always tune into AM 1450 and AM 1590, also your home for hockey action all year long both home and away.
