Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - The Commercial Tire "Be True to Your School" program will return this fall for a second season with the Idaho Steelheads hockey team and Idaho Stampede basketball team.

The program, run in conjunction with Cooper Tires, gives high schools in the Treasure Valley an opportunity to win $1,000 for their athletics departments by nominating a deserving coach. In all, $20,000 will be donated to area high schools through the program.

Students, administrators, or fans can log onto the "Be True to Your School" Facebook page to nominate a coach for consideration. A winner will be selected every two weeks and the winner will be invited to either an Idaho Steelheads hockey game or Idaho Stampede basketball game to collect the thousand-dollar check for the school's athletics department.

Last year's winners came from McCall to Melba, Glenns Ferry to Weiser. From 5A Capital High to 1A Ambrose School. Basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, track and field - several sports saw their coaches recognized by the program.

The program runs from August 28 to May 28. Any coaches who are selected after the conclusion of the Steelheads and Stampede's season will be presented with a check at the school.

Steelhead Season-Ticket Holders get six games FREE when they sign up for full-season packages. Plans for all 36 home games start at just $275 per seat. Partial-season plans are also available.
