June 7, 2011 - New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)
North Shore Navigators News Release

LYNN, MA (June 7, 2011) - The North Shore Navigators will open up their season on Saturday, June 11 at 6:15 p.m. for Opening Night at Fraser Field. The game will serve as a celebration of the team's 2010 NECBL Championship, and the night's festivities will also include a post-game fireworks display presented by Anthony's Pier 4 Restaurants.

This year, the Navigators are also introducing a new mascot - a sailor at sea - to accompany Chomps throughout the friendly confines of Fraser Field. The two will help take part in promotional activities in between innings, including a race around the bases, dizzy bat contest, and an opportunity for all the children in the ballpark to chase Chomps in the outfield at the end of the eighth inning.

Available for children will be a bouncy house behind the home plate area, and kids can also take part in the Navs Foul Ball Challenge, in which youngsters track down follow balls and return them to a staff member in exchange for a voucher to a future Navigators game.

Fans can still purchase tickets for Saturday's game or any of the other 23 home dates scheduled this summer. Tickets begin at just $6 for general admission seating, and are only $7 for premium seating and $8 for field box seats.

Flex packs are also available for just $60, which includes 15 general admission seats to be used for any game throughout the season, including the 2011 NECBL All-Star Game, which is set for July 27 at 6:15 p.m. at Fraser Field.

Group discounts of $2 off per ticket are also offered for groups of 15 or more.

Fans can purchase tickets online at www.nsnavs.com or by calling the team box office at (781) 595-9400. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
