MIDLAND, MI - The Great Lakes Loons have once again teamed up with Farm Bureau Insurance and Chemical Bank for its Honorary Bat Kid and Baseball Buddies programs. Throughout the Loons season, kids of the Great Lakes Bay Region will have the opportunity to take the field at Dow Diamond with the Great Lakes Loons.
The Farm Bureau Insurance Honorary Bat Kid program allows kids the chance to help Loons players with their bats during Loons games. Kids ages 7-12 can sign up at participating Farm Bureau Insurance locations.
The Chemical Bank Baseball Buddies program allows kids to run out and take the field with Great Lakes Loons players during the pregame introductions at Dow Diamond. Kids ages 5-10 can sign up at participating Chemical Bank branches in the region.
Sign-ups for both programs will run from March 19 to August 10.
The Great Lakes Loons are the sixth-year Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and are in the middle of their 5th Anniversary Celebration, which kicked off in August 2011 and will continue throughout the 2012 season. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
