(Edmonton) The Eskimos are teaming up with Homes By Avi and the Edmonton Food Bank for the September 5th Labour Day Rematch. "Be a Fan, Bring a Can" is a food collection initiative that began in Calgary 17 years ago. This year they have join forces with both Alberta teams to help better their communities.
The Labour Day Classic in Calgary brought in $58, 384 worth in food and cash donations. This is a chance for Eskimo fans to help beat Calgary on and off the field. Edmonton fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item or a cash donation to the game on Friday. Homes by Avi volunteers will be located at Gates 2, 6, 9 & 13 at the beginning of the game collecting donations.
