BC Knights Announce Name of Team Mascot

Battle Creek, Michigan-The Battle Creek Knights are excited to introduce the name of the new team mascot, Sir Jam A Lot. The "name the team mascot contest" took place at the team's home opener on April 9th. The name "Sir Jam A Lot" was announced at half time of the April 30th game vs. Grand Rapids. Sir Jam A Lot was chosen by a first grader at Harper Creek, Blake Byrd, 13 year old, Hugh Ingalls, and adult, Jim Miller. All three name winners are from Battle Creek. Each winner received a VIP package compliments of the Knights for participating and the choosing of the new Knight's mascot name.
The Battle Creek Knights are proud to introduce Mary Miller as the team's director of corporate partnership. Mary has been a Battle Creek, Michigan, resident for over 18 years. Mary has been involved in the family business and locally owned, Miller Brothers Auto Service, here in Battle Creek. Mary has an extensive background in customer service, corporate sales, human resource management, and corporate public relations, during her working career. Mary graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Business Communications. Mary has been married to her husband, Michael Miller, for over 30 years. Mary enjoys raising two sons, Eric and Chad. "The organization is fortunate to have a person of Mary's work experience and caring attitude join the Knights front office staff, said David Darkey, general manager, with the Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team, on the hiring of Mary Miller.
The Battle Creek Knights are proud to announce the unveiling of the team's new website www.bcknights.com. The website was designed by Mid Michigan Media. The website has Battle Creek Knights ticket information, schedule information, roster of the team, stats on players, merchandise information, and contact information on the organization. "The service and quality that Mid Michigan Media did in the designing of this website is second to none," stated, Scott Niecko, one of three co-owners with the Knights, in regard to the new team website.
