IBL produces exciting games
May 3, 2005 - International Basketball League (IBL) News Release
After four weeks and 48 games played, International Basketball League games have proven to be very entertaining. IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilioâ"I am pleased with the experience that the spectators are havingâan IBL game move along and fans really like the action, kids enjoy the game because it is action packed and only lasts two hours. After the games, kids come onto the court and shoot baskets and get autographs. Basketball was meant to beâfun, athletic and kept in perspective". The IBL scoring average is currently at 133.6 points.
IBL Commissionerâ"immediate inbounds is a way to keep basketball in perspective; it's a way of sayingâthis is just basketball, let's respect our spectators and get the ball back in play "
IBL Commissionerâ"timeouts stop play and interrupt flow" and furtherâ"in other leagues, basketball tiptoes along in unnatural starts and stops, resembling more of a chess match than a sporting event; converselyâwhen an IBL game gets exciting, the game stays exciting".
