Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, February 28 - Tirrell Baines, the Erie BayHawks third leading scorer is out for the remainder of the season after suffering a wrist injury. His injury requires surgery and a rehab process that will exceed the remaining BayHawks schedule.
For the season, Baines averaged 15.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. He also holds the team's second highest scoring output for the year with a 31 point effort at Springfield on December 14th.
The BayHawks will retain his rights for next season should they choose to re-sign him. The roster currently stands at nine active players and the BayHawks will not be charged with a roster move.
Erie returns home tonight for their first game following the All-Star break to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Saturday is "Linsanity Night" at the Tullio Arena when the BayHawks face off against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:00 PM. The K-9 Friz-B-Crew dogs will also make an appearance after their run to the semi-finals on America's Got Talent, presented by Mercyhurst University.
