
BayBears Win Last Game of Road Trip

CHATTANOOGA, TN- The BayBears closed their ten-game road trip with a 5-2 win in Chattanooga. Brett Bonvechio hit a three run home run for the BayBears in the seventh inning. It was Bonvechio?s sixth home run on the season, who now has 23 RBI?s to lead the team. Mobile?s other two runs came on Steve Baker?s two-run single in the bottom of the first inning.
Roger Deago (W, 4-2) pitched seven innings for Mobile, allowing just three hits and two runs. Ben Kozlowski (L, 1-1) surrendered the Bonvechio home run, and suffered the loss. Dale Thayer faced just three batters in the ninth inning for his sixth save. The BayBears had two hits each from Kennard Jones, Brett Dowdy and Drew Macias.
The BayBears return home to face the Jacksonville Suns Friday night at 7:05. Sean Thompson (0-2) will pitch for the BayBears against Jacksonville?s RHP Danny Muegge (2-4). All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 18, and on the internet via mobilebaybears.com.
