MOBILE, AL - The Arizona Diamondbacks have promoted RHP Daniel Stange from Single-A Visalia to Mobile. The California native has been Visalia's closer, with 16 California League saves. Stange posted a 4-5 record with a 3.19 ERA in 38 California League games for the Oaks.
The 21-year-old was the Diamondbacks 7th round choice in the 2006 draft. He was signed out of California-Riverside, the same school BayBears reliever A.J. Shappi pitched for.
There is no corresponding transaction. The BayBears roster is now at the Southern League maximum of 24 players.
