BattleWings to Hold Open Tryout in Tyler, Texas

Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release
Bossier City, La- The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings are conducting an open tryout for the upcoming season on Saturday, February 28th at the Accelerate Performance Enhancement Center in Tyler, Texas. Anyone who feels they have what it takes to become a professional athlete is encouraged to participate.
Registration for all players begins at 12:00 PM(Noon). The tryout will be under the direction of BattleWings' head coach Jon Norris, associate head coach Jon Lyles, and staff. A non-refundable registration fee of $60(cash only) is due the day of the tryout.
Participants should come prepared with correct footwear for field turf and proper athletic attire (track spikes are prohibited). It is recommended that participants bring both cleats and flats. Participants will be tested in the 40 yard dash, 20 yard shuttle, and standing long jump. Participants will be evaluated in Arena Football specific drills. While in East Texas, the BattleWings will announce their new partnership with DiamondJacks Casino Resort Bossier City. DiamondJacks will be the official housing host of BattleWing training camp hopefuls. Not only will DiamondJacks provide housing for the BattleWings' training camp players, but will also be the home of the Coach Jon Norris Show. The Coach Jon Norris Show is a weekly recap of the previous week's game and a preview of upcoming games that can be seen worldwide on af2Tv on the internet. DiamondJacks Casino Resort will also partner with the BattleWings during the season to host various regular season opponents as well as working together on some exciting promotional programs for out of town BattleWings fans this season!
