
BattleWings announce open tryouts

Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA (January 15, 2008) - The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings are conducting their final open tryout for the upcoming season on Sunday, March 2nd at Independence Stadium in Shreveport. Anyone who feels they have what it takes to become a professional athlete is encouraged to participate.
Registration for WR's, DB's, and QB's begins at 11:00 AM followed by registration for OL, DL, LB's, and FB's at 1:00 PM. Registration for Kickers begins at 2:00 PM. The tryout will be under the direction of BattleWings' head coach Jon Norris and his staff. A non-refundable registration fee of $60(cash only) is due the day of the tryout. Participants should come prepared with correct footwear for field turf and proper athletic attire (track spikes are prohibited). Participants will be tested in the 40 yard dash, 20 yard shuttle, and standing long jump. Kickers will be evaluated on accuracy and distance.
